Hal was one of my good friends at Shaker and in later years.  I did get to catch up with him at our last reunion.  He will be missed.

Hal and I go back to being buds at Lomond...we had lots of fun..but, alas, could never beat him in a foot race...way too fast!..his dad was our scout master...Ray Saul, Paul Joseph, Hal and myself had a great time, all the time!!...it was always good to see him at reunions...and to know of his large and loving family....so long Hal,..Arnie Krause

My fondest memory of Ha lgoes back to 1954 when I transferred to Shaker in the middle of 8th grade. As the new kid I was subjected to some hazing by the other guys, which was to be expected. However, when it got out of control, it was Hal who stepped in to help me out when the odds were four against one.

Thanks, Hal. You were one of the good guys.

He was a great friend when we were learning about growing up as young kids.  Good guy in high school.
