SCHONBERG WILLIAM B. SCHONBERG, Ph.D., 69, of Mansfield, OH., and Naples, FL., passed away March 29, 2011 at his home in Naples, FL. Loving husband of Marcia; father to Adam Schonberg (Susan Hadinger), Lisa (Jeffrey) Shambaugh, David Schonberg (fiancée Stacy Kessler); grandfather to Brandon and Joel Shambaugh, Andrew Schonberg; brother to Carol Schonberg (Neil) Todreas. He served as clinical psychologist the past 31 years in Mansfield. Service Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 2553 LEXINGTON AVE., MANSFIELD, OH 44904 (419-884-1711). Interment Northlawn Cemetery, Canton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Washington and Jefferson College; the Lerner Research Institute of the Cleveland Clinic, Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine; or American Heart Association

 

William B. Schonberg, Ph.D.Mansfield: William B. Schonberg, Ph.D., 69, of Mansfield, and Naples, FL, passed away March 29, 2011 at his home in Naples, FL. He is remembered as the loving husband of Marcia Schonberg and father to Adam Schonberg (Susan Hadinger) of Naples, Lisa (Jeffrey) Shambaugh of Columbus, and David Schonberg (fianc?e Stacy Kessler) of Cleveland. He is dearly loved by his three grandsons Brandon and Joel Shambaugh, and Andrew Schonberg; his sister and brother-in-law Carol Schonberg Todreas and Neil Todreas of Boston, MA, and the following sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Sharon and Charles Kamen, Roslyn Turner and Dean Davison, Michael Albert, Tracey and Larry Albert, and Melinda and Sydney Karp. He leaves 15 nieces and nephews.His parents Janet and Irving Schonberg preceded him in death.Dr. Schonberg began his career as a psychology professor at Muskingum College, New Concord. He served as clinical director of psychological services at the Ohio Reformatory for Women, Marysville, OH before making his home in Mansfield where he was a clinical psychologist for the past 31 years.He grew up in Cleveland, graduated from Shaker Heights High School and Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, PA. He received his graduate degrees at The Ohio State University, Columbus.The family will receive Florida friends at the home of Adam Schonberg and Susan Hadinger, 6965 Burnt Sienna Circle, Naples, FL from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield. Interment will be in Northlawn Cemetery, Canton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Washington and Jefferson College, 60 S.
